I'm going to be doing a new weekly online radio show called "Take Me Home" for Pet Life Radio (http://www.petliferadio.com). My plan is to invite people from shelters and rescue groups to be on my show.

The format of the show will give people in rescue an opportunity to showcase one of their adoptable pets. Maybe you have a "diamond in the rough" that has been in your shelter or foster care for a long time, but who has been overlooked.

I'll ask questions about the pet, which can also lead into educational information that can help adopters make good decisions. For example, if the dog is a high-energy border collie mix, we can talk about how it will be extra important for Rover's new owner to give him exercise.

I'm going to give NAPRP members first dibs on this opportunity, but when those slots are taken, I'll open it up to others as well.

To be considered as a guest, please contact me using our contact form at http://www.naprp.com
(Click the Contact link on the right side; using the form ensures your message makes it past all our email filters)

The radio show is easy and very low stress because it's all recorded (not live). If you are selected to be a guest, I'll send you a list of questions that I'll ask, so you know what to expect. Then we call into a conference line, so the interview can be recorded over the telephone. The producer of the show has also agreed to post a photo of the pet that's featured on each show on the Pet Life Radio web site.

Please feel free to forward this opportunity to other folks in rescue or to cross-post it to any rescue lists you're on. I'm hoping that this exposure will help more animals get adopted. And that's what it's all about.
