Our next member teleseminar is called "Understanding Feline Behavior with Pam Johnson-Bennett." It will be held Wednesday August 13 at 11 am Pacific time.
Pam is a Certified Animal Behavior Consultant and the author of a book called Psycho Kitty: Tips for Solving Your Cat's "Crazy" Behavior and several other cat books. Pam is also a clinical member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants as well as being the Founder and Chair of the IAABC Cat Division. She owns a company called Cat Behavior Associates, which offers consultations with cat owners in the Nashville, Tennessee area who are having difficulty with their felines.
Psycho Kitty focuses on solving behavior issues by trying to understand what's going on from the cat's point of view. It has stories about some rather unusual cats, such as "Evil Espresso" the "attack cat who routinely sinks his teeth into house guests" along with a cat so obsessed with water that she freaks out people while they are in the shower. Although the behaviors may seem odd to we humans, from the feline point of view, even these "crazy" behaviors make sense.
As with all our member teleseminars, it will be recorded and the audio will be available for download from the member area of the NAPRP web site.
