There was a delay in posting this blog. We had a huge thunderstorm yesterday evening, which knocked out power right as I was finishing up the post. So I spent the evening listening to my dogs pant and pace, instead of writing it. The canine team really doesn't like storms :-(

Next week, on Tuesday, I'll be having a teleseminar with Betsy Saul who is the co-founder of Petfinder. She'll be presenting "Tips and Tricks for Using Petfinder.com." I'm sure most of you know Petfinder well. According to the information in one of the slides in Betsy's presentation, Petfinder receives 5 million unique visitors every month and accounts for 65% of all adoptions in the US and Canada. Apparently, for 1/4 of the shelter and rescue group members of Petfinder.com, the site is responsible for 80-100% of their adoptions. Those are some serious numbers, so you'll want to tune in!

Because this is going to be an action-packed presentation, the nice folks at Petfinder have given me the presentation to post on the site beforehand, so you can download it before the call and follow along. (The slides will also be archived in the private member area of the site along with the audio for Golden Paw members who want to listen later.)

For those of you who will be listening live, I've converted the PowerPoint to a PDF, so it should be easy to read (you'll need the Acrobat reader from Adobe if you don't already have it). To download the presentation, just go to the web site at www.NAPRP.com/. On the Home page, you'll see the Announcements area on the right-hand side. Just click the link next to Betsy's presentation.
